January 2021: Arrangements for the beginning of the term

Posted on: January 10th 2021

All lessons are online using TEAMS until the end of this term Friday February 12th 2021

I hope that you and your family are healthy and safe. This is a difficult time for all of us, however, rest assured that we are fully prepared for remote learning.

Throughout the first two terms staff and students received remote learning training and students who were self-isolating have been receiving their lessons remotely before Christmas.

All lessons are online for the rest of this term, including registration and assemblies, please make sure that your child engages with all of the lessons and activities provided. Ensure that they log onto TEAMS on time, as though they were in school.

If your child is vulnerable or you are a key worker and there is no one at home who can supervise your child please contact us. Your child will be allowed to come into school.

Year 11 and 13 – Keep working online through remote lessons on TEAMS

The Government announced on Wednesday that all public exams have been cancelled.

It is most important that your child continues to engage with online remote learning so that they are prepared for any future assessments that may take place before the end of this academic year.

As soon as we receive any information on what the Department of Education has planned as an alternative to exams, we will let you know.

All Year groups – Engage with remote lessons on TEAMS

Please ensure that your child makes the most of the education that is being provided – engage and enjoy.

Access to laptops or and the Internet

Please let us know if you need a laptop or internet access. A survey has been sent to every parent please complete it so that we can help.

This is obviously not the way we would have liked to start the year but the good news is that we are starting to see an end to this pandemic, through the mass vaccinations that are happening across the country and the world.

Best wishes and good health in 2021.
