Baylis Court School - Inspiring a new generation to become leaders of tomorrow.

Staff and students are joyously celebrating another successful year of A Level results. The results can only be described as Baylis Court School’s best yet with a 100% pass rate, 18% of grades are A* to A (up 6% from last year), 53% of grades are A* to B (up 6% on last year) and 88% of grades are A* to C (up 4% from last year). Earlier on this year, Cate Duffy, the Director of Children, Learning and Skills at Slough Borough Council evaluated Baylis Court School as ‘sustaining distinction’.

The school’s mission, ‘Inspiring a new generation to become leaders of tomorrow’ underpins all of the school’s work. Every student is expected, encouraged and supported to achieve their very best academically. Three students were particularly happy, Amina Asghar who achieved 3 A grades (Communication & Culture, Religious Education and Sociology), Zaynab Irfan who achieved A* (Biology), A (Chemistry) and B (History) and Jasmin Virdee who achieved an A* in Sociology. Five students Faiza Amjid, Lily Barrett, Cirine Boudjemaa, Hana Khan and Fatimah Nassar did exceptionally well by achieving grades A, A, B in their subjects.

Each student is given the opportunity to develop into a leader of tomorrow through an extensive enrichment programme which includes the Baylis Court School Leadership Award which encompasses the Duke of Edinburgh Award, educational visits in the UK and Europe and charity work. The student leadership programme encourages each student to take responsibility and participate in the decision making process of the school.

Baylis Court School’s Principal Mr Hinds said,

‘These results are another example of the benefits of the stimulating learning environment provided by our staff in which our students blossom and thrive, and where their distinct qualities are developed until each one is ready for the challenges of adult life. All of our students are supported and guided onto the next stage of their educational pathway and every year all of our students who wish to go to university do so.’
