Baylis Sixth Form – Engaging lessons to challenge your way of thinking

I always look forward to fun and creative lessons, but never did I expect the excitement I just had in my Sociology lesson on Family, Diversity and Types.

As soon as I walked into the room tables were moved, colourful markers and coloured paper were given out. This fuelled my desire to start the fascinating hour. The topic was interesting and I learned things that I did not know before. My group and I performed a remarkable puppet show to consolidate the learning points.

From seeing a reconstituted family to a pleasant ‘cereal packet family’ with puppet twins named Bobby and Brown, the class and Mr Doel our Sociology teacher thoroughly enjoyed ourselves whilst learning a challenging topic.

Sociology is a subject I am passionate about because we learn so much, the teachers help students get the best grades and we have fun too!
