The best ever year for Baylis Court Sixth Form!

Both staff and students are over the moon after achieving their best ever A Level results! Year 13 students, once again managed to achieve an outstanding 98% A’ level pass rate, and pupils achieving the top grades of A* to B have also continued to improve, with it being the highest the school has achieved since records began.  Provisional indications are that an impressive 48% of grades achieved were A* – B and 87% grades A* – C.  The average grade at being a B-, significantly above the national average.

A remarkable 12% of all the entries were the top A*/A.  

Baylis Court school is proud of all of the hard work and dedication that its students put into every aspect of their work and in-line with the school’s motto ‘Inspiring the girls of today to become leaders of tomorrow’, it is clear that these young women, with the help of some very committed teachers are determined to achieve great success in their lives.  As well as some outstanding results at Baylis Court School it has continued to play a pivotal role in supporting other schools who are in challenging circumstances, to raise their standards, with great success. 

Five of the highest achievers, who were particularly overjoyed with their results include;

- Toni-Ann Cover  A* A  B

- Sumayyah Khan A*  A  B

- Megan Singh  A A B

- Ifrah Nasser  A A B

The Director of Sixth Form, Mr Wright said ‘As well as our strong academic focus we believe that what makes the Sixth Form so successful is that both our pastoral and teaching staff care about the ‘whole pupil’ and aim to provide them with as many opportunities as possible to develop into happy, hard-working and resilient individuals whether that be through the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme, volunteering, work experience, National Citizenship Scheme, fundraising or mentoring younger pupils.’

The Head teacher Mrs Ajose said, ‘These results are another example of the benefits of the stimulating environment provided by our staff in which our girls blossom and thrive, and where their distinct qualities are developed until each one is ready for the challenges of adult life. Every year all of our students who wish to go to university do so’.
